Man arrested for breaking into cops vehicle.. (in front of the Police Station)

I googled myself (get yer minds out of the gutter) and found a few of the items that I was involved in that made the newspaper. I redacted the names and such to keep a modicom of anonymity. Although I left the drunk's name intact (he deserves to take credit for his actions)

Alvin Coulter apparently didn't notice the lettering on the front of the building that identified it as the police headquarters.

It may not have mattered if he had.

Police said a "visibly intoxicated" Coulter, 46, of 680 Lowell St., was arrested after he entered the personal car of a police officer, parked beside the station and began rummaging through it at 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Officer ENFORCER said in his report on the incident he had worked the front desk and was bringing his police gear out to his car when he spotted a disheveled man later identified as Counlter at the top step of the entrance of the department.

ENFORCER said he assumed the man was going to enter the station.

But when he got inside the building he received a radio call from Officer JD Jr. asking him to come outside the station.

ENFORCER said when he got outside he saw DeSantis pulling Coulter from his personal vehicle.

Coulter appeared visibly intoxicated and had a strong odor of alcoholic beverages about his person, Bradley said.

JD told ENFORCER he saw Coulter walk to ENFORCER's car, open the door and begin rummaging through the gear bag ENFORCER had put in the car moments before.

Coulter was arrested and charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony and resisting arrest.
