Two arrested for brawling - although they can't remember why they were fighting
Two men brawling in front of a liquor store appeared to be drunk and told police they were not sure why they were fighting.
Officer JP was on routine patrol about 5:45 p.m. Sunday when he saw the two men,pushing each other in front of the package store.
As he stopped his cruiser he saw Gonzalez push Castro, then Castro throw several punches, hitting Gonzalez in the head and chest, police said.
The pair continued to exchange punches as JP got out of his cruiser and walked toward them.
Several customers from the liquor store had gathered to watch the two men fight, police said.
JP called for backup, and other officers arrived on the scene, police said.
The two men were arrested and charged with disturbing the peace.
Police said that, back at the station, both men appeared to be drunk and could not say why they were fighting.
